Civic Literacy Panel Discussion

A Conversation with Local Teachers
Event date:
Thursday, August 17, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Event address:
4869 Main St
Manchester Center, VT 05255

On Thursday, August 17 a panel of local teachers will discuss what they teach about Civic Literacy in our schools. The panel discussion will take place in The Spiral Press Café at the Northshire Bookstore from 7:00 to 8:30pm. Panelists include John Graf of Burr and Burton Academy, Eric Schatz and Kraig Hannum of MEMS, Geoff Chamberlain of Maple Street School, and Tim Smith of Long Trail School.

How do they make learning about our government engaging? How are students responding? What impact does information on the Internet have on learning how our governing systems work? How can we foster Civic Literacy in our community?

Please join us for this important discussion.

Thank you Peg Gregory, Suzanne Ordway and Martha Heilemann for making this happen.
